WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns and mandatory challenger Terence Crawford have agreed terms to fight in Glasgow in February next year.
The purse bids were due to be held tomorrow at the WBO’s offices in Peurto Rico, but according to Burns Promoter Eddie Hearn, an agreement has been reached with Top Rank Boxing.
Hearn, tweeted: “Delighted to confirm we have agreed terms with @trboxing (Top Rank) for @ricksterko (Ricky Burns) to face @budcrawford402 (Terence Crawford) in Glasgow in February - date confirmed soon."
Coatbridge lightweight champion Burns has been gradually working his way back into training since suffering a dislocated jaw in his September match with Mexican Raymundo Beltrán. Many thought Burns was fortunate to scrape a split decision draw and keep the title.
