At the end of the 12 rounds all three judges scored the bout clearly for Soto by scores of 118-110 twice and 117-112.
On the undecard super-featherweight Joksan ‘Torito’ Hernandez, 20-2-(13), scored a ninth round tko victory over Daniel Ruiz. The bout was stopped after 1.29 to save Ruiz from further punishment. super bantamweight prospect Roberto Marroquin made it 14 wins in as many fights, 11 by stoppage when he scored a second round knockout over Arturo ‘Tyson’ Camargo. Marroquin, floored Camargo in round one and twice in round two before the fight was stopped.
