The 18-year-old Fury is just an inch shorter than unbeaten 6'9" giant Tyson, drawing comparisons to brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, the Ukranians who are running almost a duopoly over the world title picture at present.
Promoter Mick Hennessy said: “If Hughie can match the progress of his brother Tyson then I can see no reason why they cannot rival the Klitschkos.”
The duo are also joined in professional boxing by another cousin, Phill Fury, a 21-year-old light-middleweight whose record stands at 13-3.
Tyson is set to take on Steve Cunningham in his US debut on April 20 at Madison Square Garden, New York City, in what he hopes will be a penultimate eliminator en route to a shot at one of the Klitschkos later this year.
