Colombia's Juan Urango stopped American Randall Bailey by technical knockout in the 11th round to retain his IBF light-welterweight crown in Hollywood, Florida.
Urango recovered from a sixth-round knockdown that saw him get up with a second to spare before putting Bailey down with a left in the ninth.
Bailey was floored again in the same round and knocked down again in the 10th.
Referee Tommy Kimmons stopped the fight at the request of Bailey's trainer with nine seconds of round 11 remaining.
The other world title fight on the card saw Sheffield's Clinton Woods beaten to the vacant IBF light-heavyweight world title by US fighter Tavoris Cloud.
Cloud, 27, scored 116-112 on all three scorecards to take his unbeaten record to 20-0 (18 knockouts).
It was the third time Woods challenged for the belt.
