Former WBO heavyweight champion corrie Sanders made a successful return to the ring in Freizeitarena Sölden, Austria on Tuesday night with a second round stoppage win over outclassed Russian Alexei Varakin. The 38 year-old South African floored Varakin four times before the referee stopped the bout after 1.59 of the second round.

In the co main event the 1000 plus crowd witnessed Taras Bidenko scored a seventh round technical win against stablemate Konstantin Onofrei. The 24 year-old Bidenko won the WBO Intercontinental and German International titles for his efforts.
