Former WBA super-bantamweight champion Osamu Sato has announced his retirement at the age of 26.
Former WBA super-bantamweight champion Osamu Sato has announced his retirement at the age of 26.
Sato won the WBA title with stopping toughr Thailander Yoddamrong Sithyodthong in May 2002, but lost the title by eighth round ko to Frenchman Salim Medjkoune five month later.
Osamu, who finishes up with a 27-3-3-(16), fought unsuccessfully for the WBA featherweight title, losing by unanimous decision to Chris John of Indonesia.
