Anderson, Stokes and Rashid return to England squad for second Test

James Anderson, Adil Rashid and Ben Stokes have all been recalled to the England squad for the second Test against Pakistan.
The Lancashire seamer, who missed the first Test defeat with a stress fracture of the shoulder blade, proved his fitness against Durham and will now surely return to the XI for the Old Trafford match.
Stokes is also back in after returning from knee surgery at the end of May, while leg-spinner Rashid comes into the frame after Moeen Ali struggled at Lord’s.
The inclusion of Anderson and Stokes in the 14-man squad means that Steven Finn and Jake Ball - who made his debut in the 75-run defeat - could be dropped.
Rashid's ability to turn the ball both ways on a pitch that usually offers assistance to spinners could also be useful and, with the batting strengthened by the return of Stokes, he could replace Ali.
ENGLAND SQUAD
Alastair Cook (Essex) (Capt), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), James Anderson (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Gary Ballance (Yorkshire), Jake Ball (Nottinghamshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Ben Stokes (Durham), James Vince (Hampshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire).
