India defeated the West Indies by 200 runs on Tuesday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy stadium in Trinidad and Tobago. The result gives them a 2-1 victory in the three-match series, which is added to their 2-0 victory in the Test match series before then. The two teams will face off again on Thursday for a series of five matches of the T20 format.

India won the one day international series against the West Indies after an easy victory on Tuesday at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy stadium.
The West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first, and with the scores poised at 1-1 in the series, it was winner takes all.
The visitors scored at a brisk pace of just over seven runs an over, with important contributions from Shubman Gill (top scoring with 85 runs from 92 balls), Ishan Kishan (77 from 64), and Hardik Pandya (70 from 52).
The best bowling performance was Romario Shepherd who took two wickets from his 10-over allotment, but conceded 73 runs in the process.
Gudakesh Motie chipped in with one wicket from his 10, going for a far more economical 38.
With India setting a target of 351, the chances of the Windies succeeding were slim, and they were only able to bat for 35 and a half overs as they were dismantled by Shardul Thakur, who took 4/37, Mukesh Kumar (3/30) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/25).
Motie was again the standout as he ended on 39 unbeaten off 34 but none of his team-mates were unable to match or beat his score. West Indies' innings came to a close on 151.
The one day series followed two Test matches between the sides, both won by India, and after the conclusion of the 50-over series, they will then play five T20 matches, with the first beginning on Thursday, again at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy stadium.
"It's all about playing according to the situation," Gill said after the win. "As an opener, my job is to provide a good start and fortunately, I have been able to do that.
"I got out in the last game, trying to accelerate. I was supposed to score big and finished the games, so not happy with that. But next time, I'm going to aim that."
