Following a bronze medal in the sprint race yesterday, Jessie Diggins claimed silver on Saturday, 13.3 seconds behind Anderson, while Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg finished a distant third.
Tiril Udnes Weng still sits at the top of the overall World Cup standings, though Diggins has now closed the gap with the American only 134 points back in second.
And Diggins now sits second in the distance standings, closing the gap to Kerttu Niskanen at the top of the leaderboard to just 67 points behind.
Finland's Niskanen finished 11th in Toblach, while Udnes Weng could only come home in 29th place.
Meanwhile, Golberg was victorious in the men's event, a competition in which the top seven places were all occupied by Norwegian racers.
Golberg sealed a narrow victory over compatriot Simen Hegstad Krueger, who was just 0.3s behind in second place, while Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo finished in third just 2.8s behind.
