The 32-year-old had already claimed gold in the 4x10km relay and the team sprint alongside Klaebo, and won silver in the sprint behind his fellow Norwegian in a sensational World Championship for his country.
He finished in a time of 2:01:30.2, a whole second ahead of Klaebo to claim his third gold medal in Planica.
Klaebo narrowly took silver, beating Sweden's William Poromaa by 1.2 seconds.
There was little to celebrate for the home supporters, with Miha Licef finishing 39th and Jost Mulef 45th, while Miha Simenc did not finish.
