South Korea had lost all four of their matches as they prepared to face Kyle Smith’s side, but ultimately prevailed to hand GB a third loss from five round-robin matches.
The tie was all-square at 4-4 after four ends, but Korea – led by skip Kim Chang-min – claimed two stones in both the fifth and sixth ends, while a further three points in the eighth put the game beyond doubt.
Smith vowed to carry on, but after conceding a further stone in the ninth end, GB conceded the tie.

Earlier in the day, Eve Muirhead’s side were tied at 3-3 at the halfway stage, but scored two stones in the sixth and eighth ends to move clear.
Denmark rallied late on, but a stone apiece in the final two ends was not enough to claw back GB, who have now won three of their four encounters.
Up next for Muirhead and co are home nation South Korea, with that tie under way at 11:05 GMT.
