Eneco Tour: Jos van Emden wins stage four to seize GC lead

Jos van Emden (LottoNL-Jumbo) roared into the overall lead at the Eneco Tour after clinching victory in the stage four time trial on Thursday.

The Dutchman completed the 14-kilometre circuit around Hoogerheide in 16:34, five seconds ahead of team-mate Wilco Kelderman.

"It's very important. Victory is always important, especially for the team, because we don't have so many victories yet this year," Van Emden said afterwards.

"But the time trials are going well for the team recently and I think I deserved this win."

The general classification top 10 is a near-mirror image of the stage four results, with overnight front three Jesper Asselman, Tom Boonen and Elia Viviani slipping down the overall standings.
