Great Britain finished fastest in team pursuit qualifying with Laura Kenny opening her bid for three gold medals at the 2018 European Championships.
Kenny was joined by Elinor Barker, Eleanor Dickinson and Katie Archibald as Britain qualified in very impressive fashion on day one of the championships.
There was a raucous atmosphere at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome as Kenny led Britain through as the fastest team.
The four-time Olympic champion returned to the velodrome this year after the birth of her first child and the 26-year-old looked back to her best along with her team.
The British quartet will take on France on Friday for a place in the final of the event, while Italy take on Germany.
Britain set a time of four minutes 19.330 seconds with Scotland's Archibald the particular favourite with the home crowd.
The 24-year-old will also compete in the individual pursuit, omnium and madison.
There was also relief for Britain's team pursuit quartet as they battled into the top four with the spot very much in doubt.
