Remco Evenepoel was in the wars on Stage 5 at the Giro d'Italia and he was unable to get back to the front of the pack in Thursday's Stage 6 at Napoli. Here's all you need to know ahead of Stage 7, when Andreas Leknessund will again show off the maglia rosa...

'Peder-Slam!' – Mads wins in Naples as breakaway 'heroes' caught

It's a tough day of climbing as the Giro d’Italia Stage 7 on Friday, May 12 sees the riders start in Capua and finish at Gran Sasso.
Climbing is back on the agenda with plenty of tough ascents, and the peloton will be taken above 2,000 metres for the first time on the Giro.
The exacting nature of the stage could make or break some of the early challenges for the general classification lead.
Mads Pedersen was impressive as he won Stage 6 to complete a stage victory in each of the Grand Tours over the past year and will want to continue his good form.
Pre-race favourite Remco Evenepoel continues his maglia rosa challenge after suffering a couple of crashes on Stage 5, while Andreas Leknessund retains the lead for now.
