Hunt, 36, is joined by 21-year-old Italian Davide Appollonio, who also joins from Cervelo Test Team - set to be amalgamated with Team Garmin-Transitions in 2011.
"These two signings perfectly represent the mix of youth and experience which we are bringing to the team," said Team Sky boss Dave Brailsford.
"Davide is a great talent and has already shown fantastic promise over the past two years with several race wins.
"Jeremy on the other hand, brings a wealth of experience with him which the younger riders will be able to benefit greatly from.
"His achievements speak for themselves and he is a well-respected rider within the peloton."
Hunt has notched up 12 victories across his career, including two national road races titles in 1997 and 2001 and although renowned for his sprinting, the Brit is also an impressive one-day Classics rider.
And at the World Road Race Championships in Geelong, Australia earlier this month, Hunt played a supporting role for Great Britain in Mark Cavendish's ultimately doomed bid for victory.
Hunt joins fellow Brits Geraint Thomas, Bradley Wiggins, Steve Cummings, Russell Downing, Peter Kennaugh, Ben Swift, Ian Stannard, Chris Froome and new recruit Alex Dowsett in the Team Sky squad for next season.
