'It's all yours!' - Van Baarle delivers victory for Ineos at Paris-Roubaix

There really is nothing like Paris-Roubaix and the 120th edition of the 'Hell of the North' promises to be a thriller with Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert set to battle it out in one of cycling’s most famous races.
The cobbles strike fear into every rider, even those who have won the Monument in northern France.
Dylan van Baarle is the defending men’s champion.

Who won Paris-Roubaix Femmes?

Paris-Roubaix Femmes took place on Saturday on April 8 and was won by Canadian cyclist, Alison Jackson. Elisa Longo Borghini attempted to defend her women’s crown, and was leading the breakaway group but crashed with 39km to go, allowing EF rider Jackson to edge a sprint finish after other favourites fell in a crash.
"It's unreal, I have no words. It's a dream come true," Jackson said after her victory.
"I wanted to weigh in on this race, to be at the front. In this kind of race, you have to avoid bad luck, it would have been a shame to lose after such a long breakaway."

When is Paris-Roubaix?

The men’s race will take place on Sunday, April 9.

Who is riding?

Whilst Van Aert and Van der Poel will be the two big favourites for the men’s race, the likes of Mads Pedersen, Filippo Ganna and Matej Mohoric will surely be up there in the closing stages.
Van Baarle is set to be back in action after missing the Tour of Flanders due to his crash at the E3 Saxo Classic, but he might have been affected by the time off.
Should it come down to a group sprint and Pedersen is in the leading group, you would back him to cap off his great spring.

Paris-Roubaix 2023 men's route

A total of 54.5km of cobbles over 29 sectors await the riders. Paris-Roubaix actually starts in Compiegne, 100km north of the French capital.
With 95km to go, the famous Arenberg comes, which is seen as the toughest sector of them all. You can’t win the race there, but you can absolutely lose it.
Mons in Pevele arrives 48km from the line, then the Carrefour de l’Arbre and Camphin en Pevele will certainly shake up the race.
Since 1943, the finish has mostly taken place at the Roubaix Velodrome and 2023 is no different. The riders do one-and-a-half laps of the iconic venue, where glory awaits the first rider across the line.

Paris-Roubaix Femmes 2023 route

Paris-Roubaix Femmes was145.4km this year, starting in Denain, before joining the men’s course in time for the Hornaing cobbled sector.
The final 85km was the same as the men’s course, with the 17 cobbled sectors of 29.2km giving us thrills, and certainly, a few spills.
