Rider Alessandro Petacchi's doping case will go before the Court of Arbitration for Sport on April 2.
CAS said last month the case would be dealt with on March 12 but a statement on the CONI website gave a new date.
CONI and the World Anti-Doping Agency are appealing the Italian Cycling Federation's decision last July to clear the sprinter in a doping row.
Petacchi tested positive for the controlled substance salbutamol during last year's Giro d'Italia, leading CONI's anti-doping prosecutor to request a one-year ban.
The Milram rider missed the Tour de France but the Italian federation then cleared him after Petacchi argued he used the substance in his asthma inhaler, for which he has a medical
certificate, and any overuse was human error.
