Theo Bos-ses world record

Bos smashed the previous record of 9.865, set by Canadian Curt Harnett eleven years ago, during the second leg of the event.

Bos, 23, came close to topping Harnett's record in the morning heats when he recorded a time of 9.892, the fastest recorded at sea level.

Hours later he clocked 9.77a, later corrected to 9.772 by event officials.
