Tour de France 2016: When does it start? TV info, odds, key predictions for the race

All the key information ahead of the Tour de France with Britain's Chris Froome the favourite to win.

When does the Tour de France start? When does it finish?

The Tour de France begins on Saturday, July 2 and finishes, 21 Stages later, on Sunday July 24.

Where is it taking place?

Stage One begins at Mont Saint Michel and ends in Utah Beach. The race then heads to the south of France, into Spain and Andorra, east into Switzerland briefly, and returns north to finish on the Champs Elysee in Paris.

Can I watch it on TV?

You certainly can. Enjoy comprehensive coverage of the world’s greatest cycling race with live coverage on Eurosport and (see link above) with more than 80 hours of LIVE cycling action from all 21 stages. The programming will also include:
