Next season, the Boonen/Pozzato/Bettini trio cannot stay together at Quick-Step. I don't have the financial means for that," team director Patrick Lefevere recently told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
While the Belgian press rife with word of a 2-million euro move by Paolo Bettini to T-Mobile, the latest talk concerns an eventual Pozzato transfer either to Rudy Pevenage's team or to French outfit Cofidis.
2005 Tour of Britain winner Nick Nuyens recently confirmed that he too was looking.
"Three candidates remain: Davitamon-Lotto, Quick-Step and Cofidis. The Liquigas also expressed interest, but there's nothing serious," he said recently.
