Luis Leon Sanchez wins Stage 4 with late attack, Thibaut Pinot retains overall lead

The Spaniard (Astana Pro Team) attacked with two kilometres to go after a quick descent down the Bannberg and ended up winning with seconds to spare.

George Bennett ended in second, with Koen Bouwmann (both LottoNL-Jumbo) in third.

Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) retains his overall lead after he finished fourth and said his team showed a lot of courage during the day.

Chris Froome (Team Sky) tried to slice the Frenchman's advantage with a couple of attacking darts, but they were closed down easily as he finished in the leading pack. The Brit is fourth in the General Classification, 16 seconds off Pinot.
