The 'B' test to confirm whether or not four times Tour of Spain winner Roberto Heras has committed a doping offence will have to be repeated because of a technical error, sources close to the rider said on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old will give a news conference in Madrid at 1700 GMT to explain the details of what occurred in the 'B' test which was carried out for a suspected offence involving the banned blood-boosting substance erythropoietin (EPO).
The director of the laboratory carrying out the test said there had been a delay in the process.
"The process has not finished, it is long and complicated and we will have to wait 48 hours more," said Francisco Rodriguez.
Heras originally tested positive for EPO during the penultimate stage on his way to victory in this year's Tour of Spain, a 39-km individual time trial between Guadalajara and Alcala de Henares.
EPO stimulates the production of red blood cells which increases oxygen carrying capacity and therefore helps to improve endurance in athletes.
The 'B' test was carried out on November 21.
