Graves continues American hot streak at World Cup Final with Friday Dressage win

After Beezie Madden’s victory in the opening Show Jumping class yesterday at the 2018 FEI World Cup Finals, Madden's compatriot Laura Graves and her partner Verdades have done the same in Dressage, beating World No.1 Isabell Werth and Weihegold OLD of Germany ahead of Saturday’s Freestyle.

The 31-year-old American, who broke her back in 2009 in a horse fall, finished with a score of 81.413% with her 16-year-old bay gelding, ahead of Werth’s 78.261% and fellow German Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Unee BB (75.668 %). Prize money was 7,000, 5,500 and 4,250 euros respectively. 18 pairs took part in the competition, with almost all advancing to tomorrow’s competition with musical accompaniment.
