The 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring race was officially launched at a press conference in Bratislava this afternoon.

The 2nd edition of the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring will be flagged off on Saturday 12 May on the circuit of the same name near the Slovakian capital. Competitor numbers are up for the 3rd round of the 2017-2018 FIM EWC, with 34 squads on the grid and more Eastern European teams in the fray.

Slovakian teams and riders were given pride of place alongside provisional standings leader F.C.C. TSR Honda France at this afternoon’s press conference, held in the presence of Pavel Culik, managing director of the Slovakia Ring, Peter Lazar, president of the Slovakian Motorcycling Federation and François Ribeiro, head of operations for FIM EWC promoter Eurosport Events.
