The 32 teams slated to line up on the starting grid of the 8 Hours of Slovakia Ring this Saturday did some private testing today. There were several crashes in the course of the run-up to the 3rd round of the 2018-2019 season of the FIM EWC.
Clear skies notwithstanding, there was a nip in the air on the Slovakia Ring. Ten hours’ worth of riding gave the teams a chance to get the measure of the 5,922-m track, though there were several crashes in the course of the day. Some of the favourites came a cropper too. Bratislava-based Slovakian team Maco Racing Team took the most spills, as did Webike Tati Team Trick Star and YART Yamaha. Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, Honda Endurance Racing, VRD Igol Pierret Expériences and Moto Ain – among others – also crashed.
Team SRC Kawasaki France and F.C.C. TSR Honda France featured among the squads who managed to steer clear of errors.
Free practice and qualifying are scheduled for Thursday 9 May.
