Adrian Mutu has been named as the new general manager of Romania top-flight club Dinamo Bucharest.
The 37-year-old former Chelsea striker makes the move after ending his two-decade playing career earlier this week.
"I am pleased that Adrian Mutu is today with us and are confident that his experience in international football will lead us to a new standard of performance both domestically and in Europe," Dinamo owner Ionut Negoita said in a statement on the club's website.
Mutu earned 77 caps for Romania and scored 29 goals in 42 games for Dinamo in the early part of his career.
"It's an honour for me that Dinamo offered me the chance to debut in a role so important and I thank Mr Negoita for this huge challenge in my career," he said.
