Togo have sacked Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor and two others from the national team because of a dispute over bonus payments.
Striker Kader Cougbadja and defender Nibombe Dare were also given the axe after the Togo Football Federation (FTF) acted "after analysis of indisciplined behaviour" by the trio "before and after" Saturday's Sierra Leone African Nations Cup 2008 qualifier.
"These players made indecent remarks concerning the FTF management," FTF manager Zep Kuete told a local radio station.
Adebayor said on Friday, before Togo's 3-1 victory over Sierra Leone, that players had yet to receive the bonuses they were promised after reaching the World Cup finals.
"The bonus problem is still there. We were given promises but still nothing has been done," said Adebayor.
"We're still waiting to see the management and it's in their interest to meet with us as soon as possible.
"Whatever happens, we're not going to let this go. If they don't pay up, I don't know what will happen."
The players are reportedly still waiting for a third of the US$162,000 they were guaranteed after reaching the World Cup finals in Germany last year.
