IVORY COAST WIN. A 4-1 victory for Ivory Coast over Namibia sees them through to the next round following Morocco's late 1-0 win over South Africa. They impressed in the second half, but they were on the cusp of letting the game get away from them in a poor first half performance.
We're into the first minute of added time.
GOAL! Namibia 1-4 Ivory Coast. Cornet scores - The ball breaks to the striker on the right of the box, and he drills in a low shot into the far corner.
Kodjia on for Bony.
GOAL! Namibia 1-3 Ivory Coast. Zaha scores - Slipped in on the left, in the box, he cuts onto his right and then drills low into the near corner.
Shilongo on for Namibia, Shalulile coming off.
Bony is released down the middle of the pitch, into the box, and he fires low and wide of the bottom corner.
South Africa - Morocco remains scoreless.
Sangare replaces Gbamin.
Cornet sends a free kick miles over.
- OffJoslin KamatukaNamibia
- OnIsaskar GurirabNamibia
Gurirab came on, too.
Ivory Coat continue to press forward, not wanting to invite trouble. Zaha is tripped on the edge of the box, which buys them some time.
16 minutes left, and Namibia need about four more to go through, assuming South Africa lose.
- GoalJoslin KamatukaNamibia
GOAL! Namibia 1-2 Ivory Coast. Kamatuka scores - A defensive howler allows Kamatuka to steal in, drive forward into the box, and fire it past Gbohouo who punted the ball at him in the first place.
Here's the latest in the other game.
- OffMax GradelIvory Coast
- OnMaxwel CornetIvory Coast
Cornet on for Gradel.
Here's a sub from a couple of moments earlier.
Zaha is given the ball on the overlap in the box, he lines up a curling shot, but hits it straight at the 'keeper..
- GoalSerey DiéIvory Coast
GOAL! Namibia 0-2 Ivory Coast. Serey Dié scores - The midfielder sees the pitch open up before him, 40 yards out. He lashes a shot towards goal, it takes a deflection along the way, and creeps into the corner.
Bony has been anonymous so far and could well be replaced.
Namibia take a short free kick which is totally wasted. Bony concedes a free kick when challenging for the ball up the other end of the pitch.
South Africa and Morocco have started again.
- 2nd Half
We go again.
- End of 1st Half
That's half time, with the scores goalless in the other game.
One minute of added time is indicated.
Haoseb looks to have plainly tripped Zaha in the box after he was spun by the Palace man, but the referee isn't interested. That's the wrong decision, and Ivory Coast should have had a penalty there.
Ivory Coast remain second as things stand, but Morocco are still on course to top the group.
GOAL! Namibia 0-1 Ivory Coast. Gradel scores - He breaks in behind the defence, lets the ball bounce ahead of him, and with a side-foot he volleys over the 'keeper to put his side ahead.
This is about the size of it.
Bony lines up in the box after winning a corner on the right wing. Gradel takes, and it's headed away to the Ivory Coast defenders.
Kazapua spills the ball in the box after reaching for a high ball, but the Ivorian players can't take advantage, with Bony smashing into the 'keeper, with Kazapua keeping his arms down his side, instead of at goal.
Zaha attacks down the left now, cuts inside and is duly tackled.
Half an hour into the game but not much of note happening now.
Kessie finds Gradel on the right wing, but he is put under pressure and has to go back to the 'keeper.
Kamatuka charges down a ball - he goes down injured - and it runs to Hotto, who pulls the ball across the box for Shalulile, and he fires in a low shot that is blocked by the 'keeper. That was the best chance of the half.
Not entirely up to speed with what this means.
As it stands, Morocco and the Ivory Coast will be going through.
Ivory Coast break, and with Bony threatening to release the ball on the left wing, he's upended. Shitembi runs up the right wing in response, sends in a cross for Shalulile, and he heads just wide of the far post.
Kanon kicks off a spell of possession in defence. Traore suggests some movement takes place ahead of him, and he humps a long ball down the right wing. It's out for a throw.
Papama has the chance to shoot from distance, and he sends an effort a couple of yards wide.
Zaha is clipped on the wing as he looks to counter. This a desperately slow match so far.
Gbohouo hoofs it clear.
It's still 0-0 between Morocco and South Africa.
Zaha, of course, is currently linked with a move to Arsenal.
Zaha jinks as he attacks into the box, but takes an easy tumble and is given nothing from the ref.
Hanamub sends out a long ball to the left wing for a throw.
Gbohouo does the same at the other end of the pitch.
No chances in the opening stages. Kazapua hits it long from his penalty area.
