The Canada international is pleased to remain at Rovers for at least another season.
Blackburn goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler is already looking forward to next season after signing a new contract with the club.
Rovers have taken up the option of a one-year extension on the deal the 30-year-old agreed in 2017 when he moved to Ewood Park from Shrewsbury.
Leutwiler has found first-team opportunities limited but started the final four games of the 2018-19 campaign, helping Blackburn record successive wins against QPR and Bolton.
“I’m pleased to get an extra year. For me, it was very important to get those four games at the end of the season, which helped me to get a new deal,” Leutwiler told the club’s official website.
“I’ll come back for pre-season and continue to work really hard.
“Whether I play one minute or 90 minutes, I’m the same in training every day – I give my best and that’s what I’ll continue to do.
“We’re all looking forward to a good season next season and trying to push on. We’ve had a solid season, when you think about it, but next season will be a bigger season.
“We’re not the team who’s just been promoted anymore, we’re a team who’s been in the Championship for a whole year now, so we need to push on.”
