Bayern sign Schlaudraff

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of striker Jan Schlaudraff from Alemannia Aachen. The 23-year-old has penned a three-year deal and will move for a fee of €1 million (£700,000) at the end of the season.

The pacy Schlaudraff recently scored in Aachen's shock German Cup victory against Bayern.
He will duke it out with Roy Makaay, Claudio Pizarro and Lukas Podolski for playing time.
"We are very happy that Jan has chosen to come to us," enthused chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. "He is one of the most promising young German talents. FC Bayern is offering him huge sporting opportunities."
Schlaudraff also expressed his delight at the move, commenting:
"I think this step is the right one for me from a sporting point of view. "Of course it's a big step. But in Munich I believe i have the chance to develop myself further and to play for my country."
