Harry Kane scored his third hat-trick for Bayern Munich as they beat Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on Saturday evening.
A win for Dortmund would have taken them clear of Bayern, but with Bayer Leverkusen clear at the top neither side could leapfrog them.
Kane had returned for Thomas Tuchel’s side after missing the DFB Pokal defeat to Saarbrucken in midweek, and the team soon made amends for the upset.
Dayot Upamecano headed the away side clear after four minutes, and then Kane notched a second.
In the second half, Bayern almost scored straight away from Jamal Musiala as they continued to dominate, and Kane added a third after a brief Dortmund resurgence to secure all three points, and then completed his hat-trick in injury time.

Talking point - Bayern look back

With Upamecano back from injury, Manuel Neuer increasingly assured after injury and Kane firing on all cylinders, Bayern look more than ready to challenge Bayer Leverkusen.
If Bayern can keep up this form consistently then they will soon becomes favourites once more to claim the Bundesliga title. The addition of Kane is a masterstroke, if an obvious one, as he provides a new focus for a team already packed with attacking talent.

Player of the match - Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich)

The pace of the German winger had Mats Hummels struggling from the off and he gave the Dortmund defence little time for respite. Kane might have got the hat-trick but it was Sane who kept Dortmund panicking and left them vulnerable the last.
