Ibehre was sent off after just 34 seconds, the fourth fastest dismissal in Football League history, on Tuesday night when he caught Accrington midfielder Matty Pearson with what was deemed a high challenge by referee Jeremy Simpson.
Carlisle boss Keith Curle called it a "poor decision" immediately after the 1-1 draw and was always hopeful of getting it rescinded.
"It goes without saying that we think the correct outcome has been reached," Curle told his club's official website after the appeal was successful.
"There has been a heck of a lot of work done behind the scenes in support of the appeal and a lot of effort went into making sure we had the right information to send forward to the panel.
"I'm sure some of our fans won't know what the appeal process entails and that's why I want to thank those members of staff at the club who were involved first hand, so that their work gets recognised.
"Ultimately, of course, we had to play over 90 minutes of a game with only 10 men on Tuesday, but that's been and gone now. The positive to come out of it was the way the rest of the team responded to what was a real setback.
Ibehre was facing a three-match suspension but he will now be available for Carlisle's Sky Bet League Two game at home to Stevenage on Saturday.
