Ooijer swaps PSV for Ajax

Dutch international Andre Ooijer has signed a one-year deal with Ajax after leaving bitter rivals PSV.

The 36-year-old defender featured in the Dutch team that was beaten 1-0 by Spain in last month's World Cup final.

He was a free agent after his one-year deal at the Eindhoven club expired.

Ooijer spent three years at Blackburn, who he joined in 2006 after his initial nine-year spell at PSV.
