Man Utd v PSG

Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Edinson Cavani versus Manchester United’s defence. Social media was abuzz when this match was drawn.
The first leg at Old Trafford in February will in fact be the first meeting ever between these two sides, and PSG are deemed heavy favourites to heap more misery on Jose Mourinho’s men, should the manager still be in charge by that point of course.

Liverpool v Bayern Munich

Not since 2001 have these two European giants met, and with Liverpool flying high in the Premier League and Bayern Munich lagging behind Dortmund in the Bundesliga, there is a sense that there has not been a better time in recent years to face the German champions.
However, there is still two months for Bayern to get back on track. They have reached the quarters or further for the past seven seasons, and will not want that run to end.

Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund

The bookies simply cannot decide between these two. Dortmund won both legs of their Europa League round of 16 meeting in 2016, but Spurs went on to win both group games in the Champions League last season.
Dortmund are currently nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table, while Spurs are third and six points off leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. It promises to be one of the ties of the round.
What the odds say: To qualify – Spurs 5/6 – Dortmund 5/6

Man City v Schalke

City a shoo-in? The odds are certainly in their favour, as Schalke are currently in the bottom half of the Bundesliga after just four wins in 15 games.
The fact they reached the last 16 should not be overlooked however, but in facing City they are up against the outright favourites for Champions League glory. This would be nothing short of a shock if Pep Guardiola’s side did not stride into the last eight.
