Cristiano Ronaldo has travelled as part of the Juventus squad to face Ajax in the Champions League after overcoming a thigh injury.
Massimiliano Allegri admitted last week that he was hopeful that the Portugal international would return for the first leg of the quarter-final tie on Wednesday, and after just two weeks out, Ronaldo will feature in Amsterdam if he passes a late fitness test.
The former Manchester United winger has been absent from Juventus' last three Serie A games, but the Champions League's all-time leading scorer trained in Turin on Tuesday ahead of jetting out to the Netherlands.
"Of course it's going to be nice to be able to play against Ronaldo. We want to measure ourselves up against the best," said Ajax coach Erik ten Hag at the pre-match media conference on Tuesday.
Juventus will however be without Giorgio Chiellini (calf) and midfielder Emre Can (ankle).
"Juventus will miss his experience," Ten Hag added when asked about Chiellini. "But just like all the other top teams in Europe, they have enough good players to replace him."
Ajax will have midfielder Frenkie de Jong available, and the midfielder is hoping Ronaldo is passed fit to play too.
De Jong, who is moving to Barcelona at the end of the season, suffered an ankle injury in last Saturday's 4-1 league win over Willem II Tilburg but his availability is a boost for Ajax, who knocked out holders Real Madrid in the last 16.
"The bar is now raised again, but it is challenge we are looking forward to," said the Ajax coach.
"The challenges are getting more difficult. We've already on a few occasions this season surpassed expectation, and we want to do that again tomorrow night."
