Real Madrid will be without Aurelien Tchouameni for the UEFA Champions League final - and the France midfielder could even miss Euro 2024 with the current injury to his left foot. Tchouameni has been absent since the Champions League semi-final win over Bayern Munich. The Wembley showdown between Madrid and Borussia Dortmund is exclusively live on TNT Sports and discovery+ on June 1.

German midfield legend Kroos to retire after Euro 2024

Aurelien Tchouameni will not recover from injury in time for the Champions League final, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed.
The central midfielder has been out of action for the last three weeks, having sustained a fracture in his left foot during the Champions League semi-final victory over Bayern Munich.
He was substituted just after Madrid went 1-0 down in the second leg at the Bernabeu - before Joselu struck twice late on to turn it around and keep his side on the road to a 15th European crown.
The France international has since missed victories in La Liga against Girona and Alaves, as well as last weekend's 4-4 draw with Villarreal.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of the final league game of the campaign, Ancelotti not only ruled Tchouameni out for the next two games, but also cast doubt on his European Championships involvement.
The Italian said: "He is doing individual work but he is not ready for the final. Let’s see if he’s ready for the Euros."
The only other injury concern for Ancelotti ahead of the Wembley final against Borussia Dortmund - exclusively live on TNT Sports, via discovery+ - is David Alaba.
The Champions League is the only major trophy Tchouameni is yet to win with Los Blancos, having joined the club in 2022.
He racked up winners medals in the UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Copa del Rey in his first season, before adding the Supercopa and Liga trophies this time around.
His teammates will need to beat underdogs Dortmund for him to complete the set, while a win over Real Betis in his absence this weekend would see Madrid hit a phenomenal tally of 97 points in La Liga.
If the 24-year-old can make it back in time for Euro 2024 - for which France are the bookmakers' favourites - he'll have a chance at lifting a second international trophy.
Tchouameni's debut came in August 2021, just after the delayed Euro 2020. He won the UEFA Nations League soon after, before reaching the final of the 2022 World Cup.
In that winter tournament, Tchouameni played all 120 minutes of the showpiece occasion against Argentina, which saw Kylian Mbappe score a hat-trick in vain. In the penalty shootout, Tchouameni was one of two French players to miss from the spot.
Les Bleus have two warm-up games, versus Luxembourg and Canada, before their trip to Germany. Their first fixture of Euro 2024 is against Austria on June 17, giving the former Monaco man three and a half more weeks to recover.
