Brentford sign Leandro Rodriguez on loan from Everton

The 23-year-old trained with the Bees ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship home game against Blackburn and is expected to be included in Dean Smith's squad.

"Leandro comes highly recommended and arrives at a good time for us," Smith told the club's official website.

"It is nice to be able to bring in a player on loan and we are thankful that Everton have allowed him to come.

"We do not want to put too much pressure on him but he will give us a lift and we believe he can help us to end our current run of form."

Rodriguez joined Everton from River Plate Montevideo in August last year and made his debut against Dagenham and Redbridge in the FA Cup in January.
