Domenech: Barthez is key

France coach Raymond Domenech thinks Nantes goalkeeper Fabien Barthez will be the key player in the French Cup semi final against Marseille.

The Ligue 1 strugglers face Champions League chasing Marseille on Wednesday night and Domenech thinks OM old-boy Barthez will be a vital player.

“He is a special goalkeeper,” Domenech told the French Federation website. “Fabien Barthez, who played for Marseille for a long time, will try and motivate everybody.

"Barthez will be the key of this match. He is a great competitor.”
