Ajax supporters made their unhappiness clear when they forced their Eredivisie match against rivals Feyenoord to be abandoned in the second half. The scoreline in De Klassieker stood at 3-0 in Feyenoord's favour when Ajax fans threw flares onto the pitch, with some landing close to the goalmouth. The game was called off and will now be resumed on Wednesday behind closed doors.

Ajax’s home match against Feyenoord will be completed on Wednesday behind closed doors, after it was abandoned on Sunday when fans threw flares onto the pitch.
The visitors were winning 3-0 when the referee stopped play and sent the players down the tunnel after flares were thrown onto the field of play for a second time.
Some of the flares landed near the goalmouth, preventing play from going ahead.
The Dutch FA (KNVB) has confirmed the match will be completed at 2pm on Wednesday, September 27 without any fans at the ground. The match will resume in the 56th minute, with Feyenoord leading 3-0.
Ajax, whose home game with FC Volendam scheduled for Wednesday has now been postponed, have voiced their displeasure with the decision.
"Due to national and international matches, the earliest possible time to play Ajax - Feyenoord from Ajax's point of view is the first week of November," the club said in a statement.
"Then a cup round is played in which Ajax and Feyenoord do not participate. FC Volendam does.
"The competition and cup program is now being adjusted by the KNVB for four clubs due to the completion of an abandoned match. Not only the clubs, but also the supporters are victims of this. That is why Ajax is considering legal action."
Ajax will likely face punishment by the Dutch football authorities following the abandonment.
The KNVB statement said: "After an abandoned match, the professional football competition board determines what happens to the match.
"The basic principle is that the competition must be as fair as possible and that a match should therefore preferably be decided on the field.
"The match must then be resumed as soon as possible."
Santiago Gimenez opened the scoring at the Johan Cruyff Arena before doubling his advantage. Igor Paixao netted Feyenoord's third before the drama involving fans ended proceedings.
Ajax are 13th in the league having won just once in four games, and fan disillusionment has been growing over the last year.
The club came third in the league in the previous campaign, missing out on Champions League football.
