Ahead of Euro 2012, we are casting our eyes back over the past two years and assessing each country's record.
After a disastrous World Cup failure, France's Euro 2012 qualifying campaign began in shocking fashion with a 1-0 home defeat to Belarus.
They responded with four consecutive victories and while controversies over leaked comments regarding alleged quota systems continued to dog Laurent Blanc off the pitch, France remained unbeaten for the rest of qualifying.
Draws against Belarus and Romania meant that the battle for first place came down to the final game and a home draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Paris was enough to ensure France topped the group.
France then secured an impressive 2-1 friendly win over Germany in February and warmed up for Euro 2012 with wins over Iceland and Serbia.
Les Bleus approach the tournament protecting an impressive 20-match unbeaten record.
