A dozen flares were thrown on to the pitch and caused the Croatia v Czech Republic match to be halted at Euro 2016.
One of the stadium officials was hit as a flare on the pitch went off as he approached it and English referee Mark Clattenburg was forced to halt proceedings and pull the players into the centre circle.
Croatia players appealed to their fans not to cause any further trouble but fighting broke out in the stands and the stadium announcer had to ask for calm.
The match finished in a draw after an injury time penalty from Tomas Necid earned a point for the Czech Republic.
It means Croatia top Group D by a point from Spain, who face Turkey on Friday evening, but there is yet to be an announcement from UEFA on whether there will be any punishments handed out over the flare incident.
