How do the play-offs work?

While 20 teams have already booked their place at the tournament, three other nations, who have so far missed out on a finals berth, will still have a chance to play at Euro 2024 by coming through the play-offs.
Qualification for the play-offs is determined based on each team’s performances in the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League.
The group winners of Leagues A, B and C were slated to advance to the play-offs, but as many have already booked their place at the 2024 tournament, they will be replaced by the next highest ranking side in that league.
The Netherlands, Croatia, Spain and Italy all claimed victory in their respective League A groups – although all progressed to Euro 2024 automatically so the play-off spots filter down to teams below them – while Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Scotland all ranked top in their respective League B groups.
Georgia, Greece, Turkey and Kazakhstan also won their respective League C groups, guaranteeing them a spot in the play-offs.
Fixtures will be drawn on Thursday, November 23, with six semi-finals taking place next year..
The winners of those semi-finals will then face off in three finals matches which will determine the final three teams to qualify for the tournament.
