Kevin Gameiro struck twice as Sevilla booked their place in the Europa League final for the third straight year with a 3-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Spaniards go through 5-3 on aggregate to set up a clash with Liverpool with their star striker again the making the difference after scoring early on.
The Ukraine side pulled level on the stroke of half-time through former Arsenal forward Eduardo but Unai Emery's men soon hit back through another fine strike from Gameiro for his 28th goal of the season.
And they made sure of progressing courtesy of Mariano's long-range strike to remain on course for a third straight Europa League crown.
Sevilla face Jurgen Klopp's side in Basel on May 18 after the Reds saw off Villareal in the other semi-final.

TALKING POINT

What was wrong with Shakhtar? The visitors looked lethargic and uninspired for much of the game. They were the form side coming into this tie but in the first half looked like a shadow of themselves. Eduardo's goal sparked a mini revival but their heads soon dropped when the reigning champions hit them with two sucker-punches.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Kevin Gameiro (Sevilla): He started his career as a winger but 28-year-old is forging reputation as one of Europe's most prolific goal scorers. He took his first goal well under pressure before an even better finish for his second of the game. And the Frenchman was close to a hat-trick after a spectacular bicycle kick that went over, talent-wise he has the lot.
