Atletico Madrid cruise to win as Borussia Dortmund humbled

Atletico Madrid cruised to a 3-0 home win over Lokomotiv Moscow while Red Bull Salzburg beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1.

Diego Simeone’s men, favourites to win Europe’s secondary competition, were deservedly ahead after 22 minutes when Saul Niguez took aim from distance to fire past Guilherme.
Diego Costa added a second just after the interval as he followed up a saved Antoine Griezmann effort before Koke put gloss on an already polished performance when he arrived late in the box to finish off a quick break.
Red Bull Salzburg’s Valon Berisha hit a brace as Dortmund were humbled 2-1 at Signal Iduna Park.

And the Kosovo international made it two with 56 minutes on the clock following a smart through-ball from Stefan Lainer.

The away side also had a man sent off.
Finally Fredy Montero scored a brace as Sporting CP defeated Viktoria Plzen 2-0 in Portugal.
