Rangers return to the Iberian Peninsula for their UEFA Europa League last-16 first-leg tie against Benfica on Thursday, March 7, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Philippe Clement's side secured top spot in a keenly-contested Group C with a pulsating 3-2 win over Real Betis in Seville on December 14, as the Andalusians dropped down to the Europa Conference League and suffered subsequent elimination from European competition at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb.
The Glaswegians have enjoyed a stellar start to 2024 and now sit top of the Scottish Premiership table with 70 points from 29 games - two clear of cross-city rivals Celtic.
The Ibrox outfit will be keen to bounce back following a surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of Motherwell on Saturday, but their blushes were somewhat spared after Celtic were also beaten 2-0 by Hearts the following day.
Meanwhile, Benfica will also be looking to recover following a chastening 5-0 defeat at the hands of FC Porto - a result which leaves Roger Schmidt's side second in the table, a point behind leaders Sporting Lisbon.
The Eagles progressed to the last 16 of the Europa League following a 2-1 aggregate victory over Toulouse in a knockout round play-off.

On October 12, 2023 when the BT Sport app closed, the app updated to become the TNT Sports app, a free news and results service available for anyone to access.
