Jurgen Klopp's side, who qualified for the knockouts as winners of Group E, play the first leg of their last-16 tie this Thursday.
The Merseyside club look full of confidence heading into the encounter after beating Chelsea 1-0 to lift the Carabao Cup last month, and they also sit top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool's youngsters have stepped up of late with a number of first-team regulars out of action through injury, but it was Darwin Nunez who was the hero for them on the weekend with a dramatic 99th-minute winner against Nottingham Forest.
Meanwhile, it has been an eventful European campaign for Sparta this season after they finished second in the group on the final matchday to set up a play-off with Galatasaray.
After a 3-2 defeat in the first leg, Sparta sealed a dramatic 4-1 victory over the Turkish giants to progress into the knockout stages.

On October 12, 2023 when the BT Sport app closed, the app updated to become the TNT Sports app, a free news and results service available for anyone to access. Existing TNT Sports subscribers via BT and EE can head to www.bt.com/activate to find out how to activate their discovery+ account for all live premium streamed content.
