Arsenal completed their pre-season preparations with a 2-0 victory over Lazio on Saturday evening.
The Gunners took the lead in the first half when Alex Iwobi's shot came back off the post and was tapped into the empty net by Reiss Nelson, although replays showed the 18-year-old was marginally offside.
Lazio had the better chances despite the Arsenal goal and former Liverpool man Luis Alberto was unlucky to see a chip come back off the bar.

However, in the second-half Arsenal's substitutes allowed them to regain control of the match as Unai Emery was able to bring on Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan amongst others.
And it was Aubameyang who sealed victory for the Gunners, firing home a deflected effort following good work from Alexandre Lacazette and fellow substitute Mohamed Elneny.
Arsenal will now turn their attention to next Sunday's Premier League opener against defending champions Manchester City.

TALKING POINT

New Arsenal, same Arsenal? This will be the first time in 21 years that Arsenal go into a Premier League season without Arsene Wenger in the dugout. It's a strange feeling and understandably there is a lot of pressure on Unai Emery's shoulders, however it looks as if there is a lot of the same problems. Arsenal were electric at times going forward, with the full-backs pushing on to support the attack, but they looked vulnerable at the back, particularly from crosses. Still work to be done for Emery...

MAN OF THE MATCH

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (Arsenal). The only outfield player to complete the full 90 minutes. Maitland-Niles was the archetype of Arsenal's play, shaky at the back but excellent to watch going forward. Some of his crosses deserved assists and given the left-back situation at the moment you would think he is the favourite for that spot going into the new season.

KEY MOMENTS

18' - GOAL! Arsenal 1-0 Lazio - Nelson scores Arsenal take the lead as they work the ball out to Iwobi on the left. His shot cannons off the post and Nelson is there to tap home.
31' - BAR! Sloppy from Arsenal as Lazio steal in and play in Luis Alberto. He sees Leno off his line and tries to dink it over him, only to see the ball come back off the bar.
35' - CHANCE! It should be 1-1. Another excellent cross from Lazio and Parolo is found towards the back post. His header goes wide however.
64' - GOAL! Arsenal 2-0 Lazio - Aubameyang scores. They possibly don't deserve it but Arsenal are now two ahead. Lacazette's clever flick releases Elneny. He works his way through and the ball falls to Aubameyang, he shoots and it takes a couple of touches on its way to the bottom corner.
