Former Rangers full-back Richard Foster has signed for Ross County.

County announced that Foster and former Port Vale defender Chris Robertson had signed two-year contracts.

Former Aberdeen player Foster was one of a number of players released by Rangers following their failure to gain promotion to the Ladbrokes Premiership.

The 29-year-old spent the last two seasons at Ibrox, returning following a spell at Bristol City.

Dundee-born centre-back Robertson has spent his entire career in England, firstly with Sheffield United, although he failed to make a first-team appearance.

The 28-year-old went on to play for Torquay, Preston and Port Vale, where he spent the last two seasons.
