England manager Gareth Southgate has signed a new contract, keeping him in the job until 2022.
Southgate, 48, was appointed as England manager in 2016, taking over from Sam Allardyce.
And under his leadership England reached the final four at the 2018 World Cup, and his team galvanised a nation with their performances.
The new contract means Southgate will take charge of the England team for the 2020 European Championships, where the semi-finals and final will be held at Wembley, and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Southgate's wages will reportedly rise to close to £3 million-a-year
Speaking after the announcement, Southgate said:
I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the national team through the next two major tournaments. The job remains an incredible privilege and a true honour. Experiencing at first hand how the nation united behind the team this summer was something special and it will be great to see how far this young squad can go in the years to come.
And FA chief Martin Glenn said that the organisation were extremely keen to secure Southgate to a new deal after his performance in the summer.
"Securing Gareth on a longer-term contract was always a priority for us. He has performed remarkably well and has given everyone the belief that England can compete on a world stage again," said Glenn.
