Former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson has been given the all clear by doctors after suffering from throat cancer.
The 54-year-old was diagnosed with the disease back in March during his time as manager of Thailand, a post he left in order to recover.
But his surgery and radiotherapy has successful and he is now on the way to a full recovery after receiving a letter from his doctor confirming that he is clear.
"It was great news that I had in the letter. Things seem to be going well for me," said the former England skipper.
"I've been getting messages all the time and I have had great support from fans throughout the world and at West Brom, Middlesbrough, Thailand and obviously United.
"I'd like to thank everyone for that."
Robson now works as an ambassador for United, for whom he made 470 appearances and says that is what he wants to continue doing after receiving the good news.
"I want to concentrate on my role with United," said Robson.
"I have enjoyed my two years in Thailand and unless something really special comes up I'll stay doing what I am doing."
